There are times when you just have to lose those darn headphones and having a small speaker on your desk can be just the solution you need. You could go out and buy Bluetooth speakers. They are sold nearly everywhere. You could also build your own. Speaking of DIY projects, everyone needs a desk lamp, right? While you are searching online for a DIY Bluetooth speaker, look at some of the options for DIY desk lamps. Some of them just use the electronic stuff and a piece of wood to make combination pieces such as a lamp that also serves as a pencil/pen holder.
