My favorite look for fall this year is a combination of super feminine and slightly masculine pieces, like a floaty chiffon dress and riding boots and a big leather messenger bag. The boots and the bag keep the dress from being too girly, which is perfect for me.
The bag is Ellington’s Eva Messenger; it’s a perfect day bag, just the right size for a laptop or a couple of books. The attention to detail on Ellington’s bags is amazing; the flap on this one is lined with suede, and the hardware is minimal but still sturdy and a little bit industrial. This is the grown-up version of that school bag you had as a kid. Or at least, of the one I always wanted.
