Happy First giveaway: world’s cutest tees and hoodies

Congratulations to Christina, who is the winner of the Happy First giveaway! I know she will love her Runner Chick hoodie. Thanks to everyone who entered!

On Saturday, I ran 13.2 miles in 2:11:23. That’s a half marathon! Plus a bit! At 9:50 per mile. Which is good because in 49 days, I’m running a real half marathon in Tulsa. At least now I know I’m not going to die at mile 9. Woo!

(Also? My scheduled run this weekend was 12 miles, not 13, but I am not very smart. That extra 1.2 miles was an accident — I lost track of my route and just … kept running. Go me.)

((Also ALSO? On December 4, I’m running the Dallas White Rock half marathon. That’s two weeks after Tulsa! Yay! More proof that I’m not very smart.))

Runner Chick HoodieHow cute is that hoodie? It’s from Happy First, and it’s as comfy as it is cute.   It’s made of 100% baby ribbed cotton, which makes it super soft. It’s a slim fit, long enough to wear over low-waisted shorts or jeans. Happy First’s ribbed tees and hoodies are junior sized, so order up if you’re planning to machine wash and dry this piece. (I will be hand washing, of course, and skipping the dryer. As always.)

Not a runner? Happy First has a terrific selection of other hoodies and tees — choose the one that speaks to your passion.

  1. Oh, I would for SURE choose the same one you have on, the Runner Chick hoodie. Because I am a runner to my core! (Even if I am currently sidelined by injury.)

  2. I have to say – I am in love with the hoodie you are wearing! Right now I am in the long process of training for my eighth marathon. You have been an inspiration this summer- I can’t imagine running so many days in a row in that summer heat. Best of luck in your upcoming races!!

  3. The Happy Go Lucky long sleeve! That has been my mantra for years and my kitchen windowsill has a little shrine to it :)

  4. Runner chick for sure! Wish I had seen these when I was training for my half marathon earlier this year!

  5. I absolutely love that Runner Chick hoodie! I am training for my very first half this fall (8 miles today, woo!) and I would use that comfy hoodie for post-run lounging. :)

  6. I love the Runner Chick hoodie! I am such a girly girl about running because I love the comfort of having a cute & cozy hoodie waiting for me to wrap up in at the finish line. Makes all those training runs worth it.

  7. I am digging that Oriental Bloom White Burnout long sleeved T…..I”ve been told white is my color! ;-)

  8. I love a good T-shirt (and good thing too, since it’s what I live in). I’m digging the Happy Hour one, since I try to be happy as often as I can.

  9. I’d purchase the Runner Chick hoodie like you’ve featured for my friend running her first marathon next month in Tulsa!

  10. The lady who does these t-shirts is a doll, and I’ve been wanting the Runner Chick hoodie for a while now.

Also, awesome job on your long run! I’m not to the point yet where I over run my long runs, though I did add a mile (taking it to 9) on purpose last Saturday because apparently I was all juiced up on adrenaline. :) I’m running a 1/2 on December 4th also, but I’m doing the Rock and Roll in Vegas. Good luck in Tulsa (I’m doing the 1/4 for the 66 run this year) and Dallas.

  11. Peace Baroque Wrap for me (because my office is cold). I used to live in Dallas long ago and we loved biking White Rock. I remember a walk I did there and it rained the entire time. Go you!
