reading, writing, thinking

This week, I reread E. M. Forster’s A Room With a View, and then watched the 1985 Merchant Ivory film adaptation (available on Netflix as a direct download) — both for probably the 100th time. Totally worth two hours — the book and the film.

At TLC’s Parentables, I wrote about what to carry on when you travel with kids. Because you never know who might throw up on you during the flight.

How awesome are these vintage upcycled suitcases? Totally awesome.

Have you seen “Fantastic Mr. Fox?” I want one of these dolls.

I love this superhero birthday party. Too bad my kids are over their superhero phase.

This makes me want to redecorate the office. Again. (Or maybe the game room. Hmm.)

Top five tinted moisturizers. I mix my own, but these are so much easier.

Shaving tips. For you, not him. Of course.

“There is no such thing as costumes or dress-up clothes.  They are all simply clothes.” Life lessons from a five-year-old.

  1. Oh, I love that column by Chris–I laughed so hard at it the other day and tried to leave a comment but it would not load for some reason. That quote you pulled out is the best. And so true. :) Also, going to read about the best tinted moisturizers now b/c I totally use them.
