reading, writing, thinking

I’m heading downtown this morning to pick up my race packet for the marathon (so excited!) but I wanted to share a few fun things I read this week, and a couple of things I wrote. Have a terrific weekend — challenge yourself to do something new. I dare you.

Three things I learned when my plane crashed. Get a tissue.

Other people’s closets are always fascinating. (Thanks to Natalie at StyleLush for pointing this out. Also for getting me hooked.)

Michelle Willliams rocks the bleached-blond eyebrow. So pretty.

Peep S’mores! For all those marshmallow chicks you picked up at half price this week. Yum.

Miniature envelopes made from Jane Austen novels. Lovely.

Morning sickness getting you down? Here’s what Twitter recommends you eat.

Heidi at The Closet Coach was nice enough to feature me this week. And while you’re over there, read her piece on the five levels of working mom outfits. Spot on.

I wrote a couple of things this week, too. Go me.

No More Yoga Pants: How to Dress Like a Frenchwoman. (TLC’s Parentables)

Chino Style: Best Shoes for Casual Pants (Work It, Mom!)

  1. Thanks again for letting me put you in the Site Spotlight! I was happy to do it.

And love the post about dressing like a Frenchwoman. So true! I wrote a little post about finding one’s inner French girl (http://www.closet-coach.com/2009/04/13/find-your-inner-french-girl/) after reading a fabulous book called Entre Nous: A Woman’s Guide to Finding Her Inner French Girl. It will make you want to move to Paris (and stop wearing those yoga pants outside the yoga studio).
